Everyone in the Kitchen!

Family Cooking with Kardar Challenger

The ‘Everyone into the kitchen’ course is quite literally for everybody – children, parents, and grandparents. This one-day course will feature layers of learning and fun liberally spiced with good humour, where all family members can learn and refresh their cooking skills together under the instruction of a highly-qualified chef.

Kardar Challenger is an expert chef with 42 years’ experience in the kitchens of London’s top hotels, including the Grosvenor Hotel, the Russell Hotel and the Hilton Angel Islington, and with five offspring of his own, is a highly family orientated chef!

We give the children the chance to help cook a meal to take home for the family to enjoy, while teaching them basic life skills. Where possible, we will use ethically-produced ingredients from Sutton Community Farm on this course.

Cooking is one of the skills in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, and for the parents, it is an opportunity to be reminded of the skills and techniques they perhaps once used – and enjoyed using – and learn something new.  Working as a team with your child/children to produce a meal will give them a sense of achievement, and you a sense of relief!

On the day, you and your child/children will make a complete meal (starter, main course, dessert) so you won’t have to cook when you get home.

Each course includes no more than ten adults, and is taught in the kitchen of a top hotel in Sutton. Each family will receive personal tuition and attention, enabling you to put your lessons into practice.

Please bring a notebook and pen. We will provide knives, aprons, all the ingredients, cutlery and plates, and containers to take the meal home.

The course cost is £300 for one adult and one child inclusive

Please note that unfortunately, to ensure the safety and well-being of you and your family, we only accept children between the ages of 8 and 16

We support child safety – we are DBS checked & fully familiar with safeguarding procedures and regulations

If you don’t see the course you want on the website, tell us! (If you don’t, we’ll have to guess what course you want, and we may guess wrong)

Your taste buds will never forgive you for missing this course!
